Stockyard is a simulated trading game. All money in the app is fictional, all trades are simulated, and league competitions award no real-money prizes. Stockyard is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial institution, and nothing in the app is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Market data may be delayed or inaccurate and is provided for entertainment and education only. Simulated results do not predict real investment performance. In-app hints and "coach" commentary are generic educational observations about your simulated ticket and the game — they are not personalized advice and not a recommendation regarding any real security.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Stockyard. You're responsible for your account credentials and for the activity on your account. Provide accurate information at sign-up, including your date of birth.
Leagues are private competitions among members. League members can see each other's display name, photo, simulated performance, and trade activity within the league. League results are final when a season ends. Competitions are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Apple or Google.
Stockyard Plus is not currently for sale. The app contains no purchase of any kind, and we do not accept payment from you. Every feature described in these terms is available to every account.
We expect to offer Plus as an optional paid subscription in a future version. If and when we do, the price, billing period, and renewal and cancellation terms will be shown in the app before any purchase, and this section will be updated with a new effective date before it goes on sale.
Don't misuse the service: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, harassment of other members, impersonation, or use of the app for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You own what you upload (like a profile photo) and grant us the license needed to display it in the app to you and your league members. Don't upload content you don't have rights to or that's unlawful or abusive. You can report a player or block them from your feeds directly in the app (or email us); we review reports promptly and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Parts of the app show material we did not write. Market prices, company information, news headlines and articles, press releases, and regulatory filings come from third-party providers and remain the property of those providers or the original publishers. It is made available inside the app for your personal, non-commercial use in the game. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell it, and nothing in the app grants you a licence to it beyond reading it here.
Everything else in the app — the name, the design, the software, and the game itself — belongs to us.
We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you own material that appears in the app, or in something a member posted, and it is there without your permission, send a notice to our designated agent:

Please include: your contact details; identification of the work you say was infringed; where in the app the material appears (a screenshot, headline, or link is enough for us to find it); a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we may terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.
You can stop using Stockyard and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate the service or your account for violations of these terms, with notice where practical.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stockyard and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on simulated results or market data shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
